At VKHowden, we appreciate that you do not want the personal information you provide to us distributed indiscriminately and here, we explain how we collect information and what we do with it.

What data do we collect?

When you submit a proposal or a query to VKHowden we may ask you to submit information such as your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number. You are under no obligation to provide such information. However, if you should choose to withhold requested information, we may not be able to respond to you or provide certain services.

These are the general terms and conditions for use of www.vkhowden.com (the "Site"). The Site is operated by VK Howden, LLC ("VK Howden"). Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your use of the Site will be subject to these terms and conditions. What you are allowed to do:

You may only use the Site for personal use and only in accordance with these terms. Additional terms may apply to the use of particular parts of the Site and products and services which are available from it from time to time. To deliver our products, we need world-wide reach. Our clients are serviced by our U.S. headquarters located in Miami, Florida and from our local offices in Puerto Rico and Colombia.  Additionally, through our parent company, Howden Insurance Brokers, located in London we are able to provide seamless access to both Lloyds and other European based markets and products to all of our clients.

The Howden network offers a range of specialist products, designed to meet industry-specific requirements and local market conditions, and provides access not only to the London insurance market but also to a range of other key insurance centres such as the US, Continental Europe and Bermuda.

Bobby Vernon

Bobby Vernon is currently a co-founder and serves as Managing Director of VK Howden, LLC. Bobby is also a co-founder and major shareholder of Colosa, Inc., a software company specializing in Internet based work flow and BPM systems.

Prior to co-founding VK Howden and Colosa, Bobby served for five years as Senior Vice President with Mexbrit, Ltd., a reinsurance consulting firm based in Coral Gables, Florida. Prior to Mexbrit he served as Vice President and Director of Reliance National Brazil Seguros in charge of all specialty/financial products and played a key role in designing and completing the acquisition of Seguradora BMC, S.A. based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and the subsequent creation of Reliance National Brasil Seguros.

VK Howden, LLC. is a majority owned subsidiary of Hyperion Insurance Group. The company was established in June of 2006 and provides two separate and unique services to its clients;

A Wholesale and Reinsurance Brokerage Service Division
An Underwriting Management Service Division.

Our Underwriting division operates under the trade name Vernon Kelly Underwriters (VK Underwriters) and, as the name implies, is operated and managed by Matt Kelly and Bobby Vernon. Together, Matt and Bobby have over 20 years of underwriting and brokerage experience with a particular focus on the Latin American and the U.S. markets.
